This is the first tournament for the youth team of Kashiwa Reysol, based in Kashiwa, Chiba Prefecture. Kashiwa Reysol's youth teams, based on a consistent leadership system from junior to youth, produces numerous professional players every year, including national team players such as Hiroki Sakai (Olympique Marseille) and Masato Kudo (Renofa Yamaguchi FC). It is one of the teams to watch this tournament as it could win the championship on its very first appearance.
